SETTINGS AND THEIR EFFECTS EXPLAINED
Increase bet by
In the gameplay settings, 'Increase bet by' allows you to change the amount your bets at the table increase by. This can either be increased by the 'Big blind' or 'Small blind'.
At the tables, you'll see this take effect on your horizontal betting bar. It will show options to increase your bet size by one Small Blind or one Big Blind. Another setting, 'Big Blinds & Percentages', also allows you to alter how this horizontal betting bar looks.
Using enter to place a bet
Bets can be placed with a mouse, keyboard arrows, and the ‘Enter’ key. If you manually insert an amount, then you can choose 'Always confirm' (default setting) your action, or 'Never confirm' your action after pressing ‘Enter’. If you choose 'Never confirm', this means that bets will be placed immediately after pressing the 'Enter' key on the table.
Chips stack display
Your chips stack at table can be displayed in either 'Number of chips' (default setting) or 'Number of big blinds' (if you choose this option for example, if blinds are 50/100 and you have 1,500 chips, then it will be shown as 15 big blinds/BB).
Cards Settings
Card Color and Deck selection
Some players find it visually more comfortable to use a '4 Color deck' (with red, black, blue and green colors) of cards rather than a '2 Color deck' (default setting).
You can also choose between a 'Simple deck' and a 'Classic deck' (default setting):
Animations
There are 'Animations' in the 4Poker Game client for 'Cards' being dealt, or in a showdown and 'Chips' entering and exiting the pot.
If you do not wish to have these animations, you can click the toggle to turn them 'OFF', these settings are 'ON' by default.
Chat box
Both Dealer and Player chats are found within the same window ‘Chat’ at the tables. They will both be active by default. If you don’t want to see Dealer chat (lines telling you the winners’ hands and any changes occurring at the table) or Player chat (every message sent by another player), you can switch them off. Please note that if you disable Player chat, you will still be able to type, but others will not see your messages. You can find out more about table chat in How to use Table chat?
Sounds
You can alter the volume of 'Cards and chips' and 'Action notification' (the sound when your time to act is running out).
Big Blinds & Percentages
You can preset your preferred betting amounts in Big Blinds for buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4 that will allow you to bet much quicker just by pressing the respective button at the table. For example, if you set the following amounts:
Then, you will have your customized buttons available at the table for pre-flop bets:
You can also preset your preferred betting amounts in percentages for buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4 that will let you act faster by pressing the respective button at the table. For example, if you choose the following percentages:
You will have your own betting buttons available at the table for flop and post-flop bets:
We hope our personalized gameplay settings make your gaming experience easier and more fun!
