If a person believes they are spending too much time or money on with us, maybe just wants or needs time away from gambling, they can opt to be self-excluded.
Self-exclusion is a feature for players who want to stop playing at 4Poker for at least 12 hours. A player can opt to self-exclude via our desktop software, or by contacting us directly via messenger in the bottom right of the Help centre.
Once a player opts for or requests a self-exclusion, they cannot:
- Play in any games offered, including cash games, Sit & Go’s, and multi-table tournaments.
- Deposit real money into their player account.
- Receive marketing material.
- Receive or send real money via player-to-player transfers.
The periods of self-exclusion that a player can choose to be excluded for include:
- 12 hours
- 24 hours
- 48 hours
- 5 days
- 1 week
- 1 month
- 2 months
- 6 months
- 1 year
- 2 years
- 3 years
- 4 years
- 5 years
- Permanent exclusion
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SELF-EXCLUDE?
Any periods of self-exclusion are irreversible. 4Poker will not remove a self-exclusion prior to its expiry date. If you opt for a permanent exclusion, we will not remove it under any circumstances.
Account details and access to the player’s account are secured and we do not recommend the player shares them. If a player were to claim that a third party, such as a family member or friend, accessed their account and started a self-exclusion without the account holder’s consent, we will not reverse that action.
If a player opts or requests to be self-excluded while currently playing at a ring game, multi-table tournament, and/or Sit & Go, they will be able to finish their play, and the exclusion will be applied as soon as practically possible, generally within a few minutes if not immediately after play has ceased.
If the customer is registered in a multi-table tournament and/or Sit & Go that has not yet begun, they will be unregistered from the tournament.
If a player has an available real money balance available in their 4Poker account, they can withdraw that balance via the Cashier, or by contacting customer support. Any withdrawals will be reviewed and processed under any relevant fraud prevention and/or anti money laundering related procedures, including potentially withholding the withdrawal while we investigate the case.
Tournament tickets, and/or pending promotional bonuses cannot be withdrawn. Loyalty statuses and/or related points will not be extended beyond their original expiry dates.
Self-excluded players cannot create duplicate accounts. If we find duplicate accounts created, once identified, these will also be self-excluded and flagged for multiple account abuse.
If we reasonably believe that an excluded person is using an account belonging to a third party, with or without their consent, we will prevent further activity on that account pending the outcome of an investigation. If we determine there is substantial risk of an excluded player using an account belonging to a third party, we will deny service for the duration of the relevant self-exclusion.
We acknowledge that self-excluding can be a sensitive topic for some, and a self-exclusion status on a player account will be processed under our Privacy Policy.
If the 4Poker Responsible Gaming Department reasonably believes that gambling is causing harm to a player, they will impose an exclusion of an appropriate length to mitigate potential negative effects that further play could bring, with or without the consent of the player. If a player explicitly admits to a gambling addiction, our Responsible Gaming Department will permanently exclude their account.
