Are you new to poker and looking to learn about hand rankings? Look no further! This hand ranking guide is designed for beginners or those looking to brush up on their knowledge.
In No Limit Texas Hold'em, players use a combination of their two-hole cards and the five community cards to make the best possible five-card hand. Every player must use a five-card combination and in cases where players have the same combination at the showdown, kickers (the highest cards) are used to determine the winner.
To help you master the game, we've listed all possible hand combinations below, arranged from the highest ranking hand (Royal Flush) to the lowest (High card):
Royal Flush Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, all in the same suit. |
Straight Flush Five cards in a sequence, all in the same suit. |
Four of a Kind Four matching cards. |
Full House Three of a kind with a pair. |
Flush Any five cards of the same suit, but not in a sequence. |
Straight Five cards in a sequence, but not of the same suit. |
Three of a Kind Three matching cards. |
Two Pair Two pairs. |
One Pair Two matching cards. |
High Card A hand with no other combination is valued by the highest valued card. |
